Welcome to Virginia ITRT Toolbox
Course Objectives:
This course is designed to provide Instructional Technology Resource Teachers (ITRTs) & educators with an interest in instructional technology with a comprehensive understanding of the ITRT role and responsibilities in supporting digital learning environments. The course will cover key areas such as fostering relationships with students, teachers, administrators, and the community, as well as strategies for effective technology integration, professional learning facilitation, and digital citizenship advocacy.
The course will consist of 7 content modules. Participants will complete these Modules and receive a Certificate at the end that will count for a total of 16 hours of professional development.
The Modules will consist of:
- Course Introduction
- Module 1: Foundations of the ITRT Role
- Module 2A: ITRT as a Coach for Teachers
- Module 2B: ITRT as a Coach for Teachers
- Module 3: ITRT as a Co-educator for Students
- Module 4: ITRT as a Resource for Administrators & School Leaders
- Module 5: ITRT as an Advocate for Digital Learning in the Schools & Community
- Module 6: ITRT as a Team member
